Writerly Life
Have been getting a fair amount of work done the last week. Fair, not great, but still, rewarding. Friday and this afternoon I enjoyed a couple of absolutely glorious writerly life afternoons. The former a meeting with a client, whose book of poetry I am helping to promote, and we had a lovely lunch meeting on the deck at a beautiful waterfront restaurant that has great sentimental attachment to me. And today, in celebration of the end of summer, I moved my office to the beach so that my daughter and a friend could have a last day at the beach. All so very pleasant, and making me feel so very thankful for my blessings. To be able to do what wants to do for work is gift and I appreciate it very much. Have also made a lot progress on the launching of my new local radio show. This should be happening very soon as it has been in the works for a good year. I will post all of the details as soon as the launch date is set. Speaking of launching, I wrote a short story recently about my son, my firstborn, moving on. This just happened and was a somewhat traumatizing event for me. Not sure what I'll do with that. Am also thinking about a couple of other things I want to get started on and as soon as both kids are back in school I'm sure I will get more writing done...
