Even though I missed my quarterly book club for writer's meeting at my local library last night (a continual stream of problems at home grounded me again) I can't say how much I appreciate my library. A decent library was one of the major reasons why I moved to this town and am willing to pay terribly high property taxes. All libraries are struggling right now, and in many ways their struggle is worse than ever. Here is a hideous example of what they are up against;

This kind of sentiment is reaching the masses, and that is a scary thing to me. Certainly it is true that libraries will have to change with the times and if you actually visit libraries you can see that they are. Willingly and enthusiastically.
Take a look and go get a book. Your library needs your support, and is probably air conditioned!
